Hi fatuesque

Just wanted to say congratulations on making the right decisions and protecting yourself from yourself. Planning ahead really helps.

Best wishes

Urges today & working on the coast so the Mrs has transferred my cash away again apart from a few quid.

I suppose being babysat better than a blowout & she doesn't mind. I'm the type that can have a meltdown over losing ВЈ20 because it would go on a £5 jackpot machine lol.

Sometimes you just see money as stake money instead of a weeks shopping for your family.

Today i will not gamble.

My diary may be a near 7 yr history of minor slips but it's all here... sometimes I wonder if I should stop posting in this diary because of the slips, but some slip & never post here again.

Also sometimes i think that my gambling isn't an issue & that most people spend more on their chosen vice (alcohol, smoking, fast food) than I do on my gambling related issues.

It's a tough one to comprehend but nothing gives me the highs & lows that gambling does & you don't really get any of that with the other vices.

I watched a documentary about legal high addiction a few weeks back & the guy was saying at least he wasn't a heroin addict & I joked to the Mrs that the heroin addict would probably say that at least he isn't a gambler because you can spend £1000s in a day on that but if you did with junk it would kill you.

Anyway, just some random thoughts I felt the urge to jot down.

Not been on here much however i've not gambled at all. I'm not counting the days but it must be a lot. Very busy & life is very positive. My business is dropping an office lease next month because it was no longer suitable for our style of business & that will save us a fortune.

Gambled £10 today...not much but I've a big bag of shopping which cost less.

£10 lasted like 4 minutes at 10p a go.

Need to buck my ideas up.

Gambled about £100 since last post. I'm going to start coming on here again as i've not been on in a while to be honest.

Going cold turkey. Leaving my cards at home & being sensible about things.
