I'm sorry to hear you're a bit under the weather, and always work checking it's not COVID which is still (irritatingly) still 'hanging around' in different guises. Hopefully we'll be shot of it one day.
And what might make you feel a bit better is a newly galvanised reframed Spurs team, now that Kane is on his way and no longer any kind of distraction (and good luck to him in Bayern Munich!)

As i sit here in my lounge feeling really hot.... fever....cold....cough....has been around for four days now....i wnt on chat last night....was a lovely chat mixed with old and new users plenty of experience and new ideas floating about.....ten i slept.....woke up pretty much every hour coughing and struggle swollowing ..... but i did manage to sleep and woke up at 8 messages in sick then slept till 4pm on and off..... im improving healthwise....im not coughing as much and im hopefully thru the worst of it? we will see....
As i havent been out since thursday ive been reliing on mum to get milk and bread....but as no appitite havent really got her to get anything.....just looked in my fridge and i dont drink but theres guiness, a beer, and 4 pints of milk and marg apart from that its empty......but my ocd does like it empty so i guess that good a tiday fridge lol.....
Just watched a borefest man u game...glad i got out of bed cant be in it all the time..... it was 20 hours in bed for me .... i still dont feel rested but i am improving.
holiday wise ive planned this year really well, as per usual ive not taken any jan-april....saved it up....then now ive decided not to take whole weeks as i get bored....so ive got a saturday to wednesday off every three weeks till december....sweet
just want to be well again!!!!! get back into work..... enjoy my health....i was doing great with the exercise....will continue on that front.
Evening.....had a productive day here.....I emailed in sick again today then slept till midday.....then fancied some fresh air.....so i sat in garden for a couple of hours and then done a bit of weeding in garden (very light to gain strength for when back at work......then done some dusting in flat....then folks came over with cottage pie.....i ate then.....came on group chat....then had a bath.... phoned my folks.... and now ready for bed....after i also looked at this new website...looks really good....will really help newbies on here. welldone.
I aid that id go back to work tomo but folks think one more day off whilst still coughing....so one more day of rest it is.....

So sorry you're still in the wars my friend. I'm willing you on to shake off that incessant coughing that's persisting ... let's get that thing shaken off eh. However, you are doing the right thing. Taking time off to get better. Always a good move: look after yourself first, because, from that vantage, you can then look out for / look after others. That, as we know, is how it works and how it must be 🙂

Just up as not feeling sleepy......I bought my TV for 970 pounds.....it went out of stock straight after I purchased.....now it's come back in stock and it's 1399.99 horray that's a great saving......I know they will reduce it again and will no doubt end up back at 999 but it's a cracking saving at mo haha

Pretty tired but ready to go back to work tomo.....today ive done a lot round my flat.....its looking very good.....ive also written a long list of things that need to be done......i shall tick each of the list one by one until my jobs here are done....
Didnt sleep last night.....voices.....was sick in the morning....but after a productive day i feel im ready to go back.

Hi Adam. Sorry to hear you're still not quite right. Hearing voices when you're trying to sleep means you are exhausted. I hope you're getting every quality sleep time, at least. Looks like you got a bargain with that telly though - something you'll really appreciate once you're shipshape again. The first of your tasks to tick off - feel better!
I slept last night, i slept very well, all the way thru to morning, then first day back at work, was coughing but tbf it went really well.
Think ill have a long soak now....and be ready for chat.

here we are at the end of another week.....start of another weekend....
Tonight i went to the park with a friend for a couple of hours, then came on chat then watched a film.....
At work the recycling isnt perfect.....someone put some meat in a bin (obvs cant recycle) i had to get it out,....also people put liquids in it in paper cups that are used....so last night after work i emailed a few people with the idea of going back to normal glasses and mugs for the drinks for patients and washing them up so we dontr have any cup waste at all....surely this would be better for the environment. matron emailed back this morning saying she completely agreed and if we could talk today about the wob (news bullitin i did before was told not to use pc at work)...... interesting my mum said....will have to see what they want but ive been pretty good ive only used the pc at work once for twenty minutes in the past month and have done all the emails out of work hours in my own time......not great but done more than theyve asked of me.....
Tomo im going to have a long sleep till midday then my folks coming over to do tv a hopefully sort out an ariel for the bedroom tv.... then going to watch the spurs game on my mobile....watch the vity game on my new tv in lounge and play some games with the new tv....cant wait to get it up and running....lets hope its as good as i think it will be.

Evening....... had a lovely day....woke up after a long lie in....got tv set up....played it and got it all up to the correct settings for my games and movies.....
Now ive made a list of things to do in the flat:
New tv (move set up), tick
Find scales lead and charge, tick
Paint Kitchen
Install vynall floor in kitchen
Install oven in kitchen
Install blinds in kitchen
Ariell thru wall into bedroom, Not possible
Curtain rail fix in bedroom
Clear weeds in garden
Put weed killer down in garden when not raining for few days
Create tottenham picture frame and put up
Upholster chair
Clean Parquet flooring
Clear mold in bedroom
This should keep me busy lol.......
Set my alarm for 11am tomo to watch the womens world cup final.....
end of another week.....woke up watched world cup final.... then had some porridge for lunch.....then mum came over and some friends for a bit.....organised lounge....played xbox....sat in sun a bit....
Oh yeah and i weighed myself last night.....back in january when i started my fitness i was 14 stone 6 pounds.....last night i was slap bang on 89 kilograms (14 stone on the dot).....so ive lost 6 pounds half a stone in the past 8 months.... pretty chuffed.
My cough is still around but went to work thursday friday last week and will go tomo.
Long bank holiday weekend next weekend to look forward to....
Then ive got some time off in september..... 6 holiday days.... looking forward to that.....wont be going anywhere but will enjoy spending time watching and playing on my entertainment.
Im top of my fantasy football leagues at the mo....had a good start.... things worked out for me.
So far this month ive lived off freezer and cupboard food and free coffees..... all this in order to make up for the spending on the entertainment xbox and tv...... with this spending in mind ive pretty much lived off about 2 pounds a day so should be about 60 pounds this month on food... no restaurant eating....when ive shopped for coffee in waitrose ive mainly got something on offer or just a bannana...meaning ive spent 25 pounds in waitrose this month soo far with last month spending over 70...so thats great.
Going to try and enjoy my entertainment now and not spend money on restaurants, socialising, pub trips...holidays etc....just buy food from supermarkets and enjoy the simple pleasures of life without needing to indulge in anything else....Im looking to pay off 6k off debt this year and invest 3k in the flat (xbox, tv, kitchen)

Nowmy goal for this year was a health one ....weight and losing my stumach being the main goal.
The weight has been the one goal thru the years ive really not been able to achieve.

Jusr weighed myself tonight and even after a roast dinner with stuffing, potatoes sweet and normal, a mars ice cream and some crisps im 87 kilograms, 2 less than the other night.....lookked it up and its just over 13 stone 7.......down from previous 14 stone 6 in january..... Now at this time of summer im at my peak thinness as in winter i tend to hibernate, go to bed early, eat more, and not exercise very much..... However this year im going to stick to the exercise regeime....im going to join the local gym once it opens to do treadmill and weights..... and will stick with going out for walks whenever i can....
When i go to folks ill walk back (walked back today and thats 4700 steps right there####)
Recently i think the things that have worked for me are:
ive been ill for two weeks and didnt feel like eating thru that time.... thus lost a bit of weight there....but as long as i dont bounce back to eating more now ill keep that weight off!!!!!
Ive stopped eating two slices of bread at lunch.
Ive tried to sto eating inbetween end of work and dinner.
Ive been out for evening walk and weights nearly every night for two months soo far.
Ive mde sure i have done 10k steps by the time i get back from work everyday and made sure when not too tired that i do 15k steps each day.
I havent weighed myself over last two months......i think this has really helped too.....as it goes up and down.
With my doctor commenting on how happy he was with my health, with my blood pressure low, heart rate good, with the exercise i get, ive just got to get trim over this year and next to finnish off my last goal.

You’re right, weighing yourself too often can be disconcerting - as you say, our weight oscillates a good few pounds every day.
You’ll know instinctively if you feel you look good, then you’ll feel good. Your doctor adds some technical affirmation!
Life is about the journey, not the destination (because all of our destinations are ultimately the same!)
But our journeys can have iterative milestones and goals. Your steadfast focus is putting you in a great direction. I read your diary, I learn, and am inspired too.
