Evening All,

Been out to the cinema to watch a film, have a pizza and generally catch up with those who are married and pinned down. One day, I'll have the gambling discussion, but right now I'm happy just to tell them I'm doing okay and continuing on the right path.

My moods still vacillate greatly, but by not gambling it gives me time to drag myself out of it and force myself to get up and change it. When I gamble the depressive mood takes me into the gambling trance, and three hours and a pair of sore eyes later, I have no money. Well, that ain't happening any more.

Delboy -I'm a few junctions up the M4 in Swansea.

Hope everyone's doing well, two thirteen hour shifts tomorrow and thursday, so looking forward to bed on Friday night already!

Cheers

Ryan

Morning All,

I can confirm that it is a lovely blue sky morning up in Wales, and that goes for the mental state as well as the actual weather. I know there are ups and downs in this journey, but I must admit that this weekend is looking good.

Some good sport on the box, football, rugby and boxing, and I've got a few ciders chilling ready for the ice later on.

Glad to see others doing well too.

Hey mate. Glad the weekend is a positive one. It's been the same here just up the m4!

Chilling today with the kids and counting down the days when I start my new job and no longer working weekends.

Hi Ryan... and glad to see that all looks pretty good in your world. Its sunny here to and thoughts of a nice cold cider (or cidre) sounds nice. I tend not to drink it much nowadays cos it took the enamel off my teeth many moons ago and now I have sensitive teeth. But I still like it.

Take care matey and thanks for your support as always... S.A 🙂

Into the early hours of day 240... hope the cider was cool and crisp SA, even if it hurt a little bit. Another long week of work, 9 til 8 everyday this week, I cannot wait for Friday night!

Not sure if I'll get on this week, but the one thing that is for sure is that there'll be no gambling involved!

Hi Ryan - Many thanks for dropping by my Diary.

Wow - 242 days now for you - what a great achievement, and so glad you are enjoying life despite that four-letter word: W-O-R-K.

Best wishes,

Joanna :o)

Morning,

Surprise morning off for me today, and I'm not in the office til 12. I wasn't expecting it, but a nice bit of time to myself. Nothing much to report...working hard, plenty of stuff to do and gambling not really playing much of a role in life at the moment. I was telling Duncan that I have chipped in a fiver for a prediction competition for the World Cup at work, but for me it doesn't fall under the gambling umbrella. It's more about getting the bragging rights over the lads at work, and testing my football knowledge.

Anyhow, got an hour or so to do some freelance work now before I head to the big W-O-R-K! Pain in the backside that it is! Roll on Friday, a good weekend of sport in store.

All the best folks

Ryan

Ryan

fella thanks for the post upon my thread,I admire your honesty, for me one of the greatest gifts of recovery.

regards your 'sweepstake' fella you know as much as I do this journey is bespoke, you have the call on what you do with it.

For me I am blessed with a bunch of fella's at work who took the choice to say we would all pick a team out of the lesser teams and all buy a shirt which we must wear on match days, they will become our second team, mine Hondourus lol,so I found a shirt online and await it's arrival

my honesty with them about my addiction brought them to making the decision to to this and in truth I am made up at their kindness, humbled by it,yes they will do there coupons, fair play they won't do there bollo##cks to a man they don't have the compulsion I do.

The banter about football is great therapy for me,because it is today all about the beautiful game.

On a bigger note the final of the premier league was outstanding

I bow to those four fella's immense skill with the arrow!!

I saw the advert for the world cup of darts which starts in two weeks, looks like another great watch.

My friend keep doing what works for you

Enjoy it

Hey Ryan,

Thank you so much for your kind words on my tread. I am really proud of you and feel so happy to walk shoulder in shoulder with you on this journey.

It is not the easy one, but just look at the benefits it's gifting! ! Something unbelievable and so great. Keep up the good work, don't work too hard and stay safe.

The dreams can always come reality if we put enough effort to make it happen. I know you will get where you want to be.

Take care my friend

Sandra xx
