Not sure if anyone's interested, but just about to start is a documentary on gambling in sport of 5 live. All I know really is that John Hartson's in it, but I like the big feller so that was enough for me.

Good to hear you sounding positive Ryan and thanks for the post on my diary. I take it you won't be watching the Mickey Mouse darts this weekend then? I was made up for Gary Anderson, I never thought he would get over the line, so it was nice to see him win. I wouldn't even know most of the players in the BDO, just hope Wolfy doesn't win, I'm not a fan. Your idea of a swim in Morecambe sounds a dream, however I doubt I will even get to take the obligitary photo with the Eric Morecambe statue as my mates will be sprinting to the nearest pub as soon as the train arrives and won't move until five to three!

Have a good weekend mate!

Wow, its been a while since I actually mustered up the courage or energy to write anything down. Been on the site and read a few diaries a couple of times, just felt the words were ringing a little hollow and I couldn't find the right chord to strike. Nonetheless, I guess the good news is that I am still gamble free, still going in the right direction and finding my way, however winding and interrupted it is.

Not heard anything further about my follow-up appointment, but I guess it's still a while away yet. With all of the things that are going on with the NHS, I kind of feel bad for asking, but equally I think that if I am to come to terms with myself (fix myself, clear the skeletons out of the cupboard, whatever metaphor suits at the time) then I can't be afraid to ask for help and I can't bottle things up and let them come to a head as they have done so often in the past.

Had a nice day with the family for my youngest nephew's 18th birthday, such a great kid and really tolerant of all the old people talking about boring stuff he didn't really know or worry about!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend,

Ryan

Hi Ryan, thanks for your lovely message, it's good to hear from you, and to know you are staying strong, and positive.

Your posts always come across relaxed, like a slow train, but one that will reach its destination, and you my friend are well on the way to reaching yours, slowly but surely is the way forward.

Take care and stay safe

As Sandra says...I've been fairly quiet recently, just knuckling down to work as hard as possible, and maybe it may just be paying off. Got on to a management training course at work and applied for a couple of jobs that would offer a decent payrise if they come my way.

No real temptations or gambling thoughts, moods still going up and down a little more than I would like, but I guess fixing everything would be too much to ask!

Hope everyone's doing well and enjoying their weekend...its Superbowl Sunday, which for me is one of my favourite days of the year!

Ryan
