Hi. I am new to this site and have started my journey today. I started reading Ur posts this morning and haven't been through it all yet. I was cheeky and skipped to today's post to see how u got on? How many days has it been since u quit? I am hoping you reply with (since day 1). I will eventually read through every post but I am curious about Ur outcome.
I wish u all the best and am looking forward to reading the stories and getting to know others like myself.
Jathan
Well Jathan,
I can say I have not gambled since feb 2010....It has changed my life... I would encourage you to read my journey from the begining (if you have time that is?)...However, if my diary isn't as attractive as the others on here (I can assure you there is better/ or worse should I say) then read theirs instead...More importantly keep reading and posting...

Somewhere on this planet there is a huge RED button....It will end civilisation....
The reason it hasn't been pressed yet is because we all have families...Or love one another.....
So, in the meantime don't go around pressing any buttons....You'll be ok and will survive....

Somewhere in our mind is a big RED button.
The one that says "Gamble! Gamble! Throw away your life and your hard earned money! Gamble!"
Don't press it, eh?!
GT
Tnx GT ur right!!...Hope all is good?
Well I am back and I have to say that recently I have been having dreams about gambling and winning money...I recently finished UNI and it could be possibly to do with the prospect of having no job maybe?
...Anyway, I am off soon and won't post for around 1 month....I am really happy at the moment it actually is the climax of the past 4 years and it hasnt sunk in yet...Trust me this feeling is bigger than money....
I actually made it!! The cards are on the table and anything goes from now on!! The first class unofficial UNI mark is an excellent start for my new career!
Hopefully if not me, my children, will be lifted out of poverty and the need for gambling will never cross their minds, ever.
I would like to add, me, like you have been through the rollercoaster ride of gambling and it was just today I was talking to a so called 'ex gambler' and reliving the experiences about winning a few hundred or losing a couple of thousand...Ask yourself right now! Was it really worth it!...We all know the answer...

Hi diary...
Hope everyone is okay!....We all share the same objective...To fight for our survival....

Hi diary,
dropping by while I still can!!
...No thoughts on gambling..Exception.... The wheel of life.....
Easy li£e
Hi diary,
probably my last post today (30- 60 days)...
Firstly, I Just wanted to thank the users of this website and the gamcare support team for helping me express my thoughts whilst debating the topic of gambling, and the harm it can cause. Furthermore, the past sixteen months of complete abstinence, regular posting, reading and helping other people through their recoveries has really helped me be able to focus and sculpt a new life for myself. However, it isn't totally complete and in fact I still have a long way to go. Lastly, I am determined to fight to the very end and beat this!
I AM GONNA FACE THIS NOW!
Take care and see you soon.
