Gambled again because money was pending and it was 6 days and I caved in! I lost another 2k eveything I have, I feel so suicidal, I'm in bath and only reason I'm staying alive is for my son and husband, 10k in debt and devastated totally killing my soul here 🙁
sorry guys so miserable
Hi Freshope
Sorry for your loss, 2K is a lot of money but what's gone is gone, just focus on a future without gambling, take one day at a time and everything will fall into place. Take care.
Shaun
Hi freshhope, I like your name. Fresh hope ! I do hope that you are going to keep on posting . Sha is right, everything will fall in to place. Feeling suicidal is heavy and very true at times during this illness. But we just keep on embracing life and seeing some blessing in it all. We do have a chance to do thing differently. It'll get better. tara2
Thanks guys I'm on day two and slowly recovering I'm taking each second and day as it comes, my mind is again going on about my debt which is a trigger for me going back to it, I'm basically telling my Brain listen your an addict and it's stopping now!! You can't trick me anymore
Day 3 and day 4 has passed a few gambling thoughts but again I'm aware and saying no!! Hard at times as brain can be so convincing but I don't want to go back the way!! Hopefully those gambling thoughts and triggers will one day stop as I'm fed up, look forward to gamble free day 5
A week gambling free!!! I feel good about this, although had stressful day at work, I recognise when I am stressed I want to binge eat or gamble, Need to find another way to tackle this on!
Hey guys another day gambling free and joined gym and went to a class, need a new focus! One day at a time and hope never to get complacent again
