Best of luck bear, I only just started and now 4 days gamble free. Get this awful addiction behind you and focus on the exciting times to come with your son.

I am bear loads of near misses but still gamble free. My advice go see a GP and get a light dose of anti anxiety medication and get back into the swing of things here. I went far too long on and off the wagon but I am still fighting but that on and off the wagon is a tough place especially with a baby coming. I was there myself and the most stupid things set us off. I went to rehab and I took the anxiety medication both were big no nos for me. I am not saying things are flying but I have hung in where other times I may not have. Good luck.

Hi Bear

Please dont take this the wrong way but I really wish you would keep everything to the one diary. I feel it would give a better idea of the journey you have been on. You have struggled and there is no shame with that, there is no shame in being beaten with this problem even if you have been beaten multiple times. In fact I feel people will identify with that, its not the victory alone that inspires but the path that leads to it. I hope you stay with this one diary regardless of how your future plans out from now.

All the best.

Rob

Rob,

I understand what you say about one diary for you that may be correct but as you say it's my journey I don't need reminding of pain before I have that in therapy classes thanks for your post though mate hope you are well.

Bear

Welcome back. I agree with the previous post about not having multiple diaries. In my 4 years on here no-one that I can recall who has had multiple diaries has successfully abstained for good. I hope you can buck the trend.

I have only got on the right path for the past 6 months but I find reviewing previous periods provides good therapy and reminders although there are of course parts which are painful

best of luck

Hi Bear

Well done for coming back on here and trying to battle it out again, its not easy keep failing and then having the resolve to come back and face cyber friends who witness it.

I wish you well m8 and hope sometime soon you find the kind of strengths that will keep you away from gambling eternaly.
