Bear

fella glad to see you are looking at the bigger picture, and with that addressing your own shortfalls rather than blaming others.

To take ownership over addiction through whatever means you can find to aid the process I believe is a huge step forward.

Duncs stepping forward nevr back.

Hi Bear,

I don't try to comment on your recovery always liked your diary anyway please get back on track, winning is always a fXXker try think its only temp as it only leads back to temptation. For your newborns sake you need to knock this cr** on the head. You can do this without all the hassle a life time of gambling brings I wish you the best. Life is better without gambling.

I've been reading your diary since you came here, Bear, so I'm aware this latest slip isn't exactly your worst. Something seems different about you this time round though. You seem a lot more determined and positive, rather than before when you talked about giving up on recovery when you'd slip.

As someone else said, any day without gambling is good. You have done amazing. Be proud of what you have achieved so far.

You messed up. Just remember what you were giving up in the first place though, bear. What is there to really miss?

Continue on with recovery.

The bear

My friend, I have met many compulsive gamblers in my journey of recovery and very few have managed to 'go out' on a win, the addiction seems to tap away on the mind, 'you are a winner go on re invest!!'

and back we go, the results the same, the temporary loan the bookmaker gifted us is paid back with a great deal of interest!!

Ask yourself the question I do every morning.

Have I had enough losing???

For me today it's a massive YES

The outcome, the thing on offer to us the rare breed that is the compulsive gambler.

WE BECOME WINNERS.

The choice is there each day.

I hope you make a wise choice, that would be the right one for you.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Bear,

You are 76 days not gambling vs 1 day gambling. You are moving forward mate , no question about it.

Well done at stopping when £500 down, it could've been a lot more, you could've avoided this site , felt sorry for yourself and moved back 80 days. But you haven't mate, pushing on again!

I draw a lot of inspiration from you mate.

Onwards and upwards,

Hanz

Sorry to read of your little blip bear. Well done for for stopping when you did.

It really does bring it home for me how pointless winning is,you can never hang on to it,it just puts you back on that never ending merry go round until all is lost.

I'm sure you will be stronger now bear, keep battling you will get there.

Bear

fella a huge well done for facing up to things in such a way that it will only help in building your resolve to arrest the destruction that is your compulsion to gamble.

To live gamble free is a choice which comes with a great deal of effort and you my friend have a great attitude towards that.

Be proud and most of all be kind to yourself.

you have the choice to do something amazing today, and what better focus could a fella have, a little one on the way??
