Not helpful. We did snail mail to head office, asking for permanent SE and no future contact by any means and so far it's worked.

Hope your son improves and that things become easier for you.

Thanks again for your comments - nothing to update still.

One word has been cycling in my mind today and that is HOPE. It was in the TV programme from last night. "Abstaining gave me some hope"... "I got hope... hope I could have a life". This place gives me hope.

Hi Change thanks for your post and earlier support buddy !.

All good thanks mate and I did see the documentary last night , very honest people to come out in full view of the world , also couldn't believe the variety of people affected , musician , newspaper editor ect !. Addiction has no demographic !.

How's your son , any news yet ?

Two quotes that I love about hope...

If you lose hope, you lose everything and

H.O.P.E...Hold On Pain Ends

This is a difficult time for you, but you're not going to let it beat you. Fingers crossed for some improvement soon in your little one.

I managed to get out and player a frame of snooker as my team were desperate. I haven't been able to play all year. I got beat but it was good to have a break from reality and forget about things for an hour.

I was saddened to see a member of our team who has spiralled into addiction. He played a fruit machine for 3 hours solid. These are 90% payout machines! You know you're going to lose but that's addiction. Other members of the team have approached him over the weeks to no avail. 3 of the 6 players know of my own struggle but not the said fruit machine player.

I was tempted to make an intervention but thought better of it? I just don't know how I can help someone who is not ready to stop.

Oy ! , Soppy Git !! LOL , that means so much on a day like today mate , youv'e got so much on your plate right now , with your little man ,plus everything else your'e going through , yet you still have the time and selfless thought to say that , priceless !!!

Glad youv'e had a bit of you time this evening , sometimes you need to recharge in order to be ready for what the next day brings us and you certainly deserve a break at the moment . [ see what I did there , Snooker , break ] Honestly I don't know how I keep pulling these jems out the hat !.

As far as your friend is concerned , until He's ready , well you know the rest , Would you have listened ?.

Right I'm done , just finished work , so hot bath , little snifter and a bit of pointless tv coming my way !

Feel quite loved today and a bit emotional to be honest , so I'm sending some of that love straight back at ya my abstaining buddy !

Until we talk again , have a great night and all the best to you and your's !

Yeah, good to see you looking after you (even if it was out of desperation on the team's behalf)...That is a vital part of this journey!

I'm sending more hope your way. Your little man's battle has given me a new perspective on my Mother's story as she too watched on helpless whilst the Doctors & Nurses @ GOSH bought my sister back to life. Keep looking after you so that you have strength for everyone else - ODAAT

Bad night. Constant vomits. Not happy with the situation so I've been at the hospital since just after my last post. Need to make things happen before this gets out of hand.
