Hi change thank you for you comment on my diary, I have been reading a few of yours(obviously not all as there are a lot lol). Hope your son is getting stronger and feeling a lot better. It has been great to read some of your original comments and then to skip to the more recent ones you sound like a completely different person, I too have suffered from depression but for many years from an early age and I haven't realised that the gambling was related I always told myself that I gambled to help me switch off from the depression but now I see that it feeds the depression ( hence why I've been awake all night upset and worried because I had a relapse ) so angry with myself, anyway I just wanted you too know that I think your doing brilliant and I look forward to seeing more of your story x stay strong

Thanks Stumpy.

Day 44.

Really happy to have our son home which has lifted the mood in the household. Gambling a far thought from my mind. Got so many things I want to achieve in life but need to figure out how to go about them.

Positives

- family is back together

- starting to get more of an idea for my personal goals

Thanks Suzanne. I'm having one of those nights where I'm on here constantly reading. I feel like I'm close to getting a solution that would give me some longer term focus but I can't get over the line with it. I have a few ideas but I'm putting barriers in place coz I keep saying "it'll never work" or "the juice isn't worth the squeeze" so you're wasting time. I think I want to start a blog and get into writing courses or publications that assist people and companies in my area of focus. I think a blog could be the start to gather some interest slowly and then the other bits will follow at a later date. It will take a lot of effort but I should go for it I guess. Nothing to really lose. Does anyone else blog? Any tips?

Fairly uneventful day 45. Looked up fees for selling on e bay and they're ridiculous if you want to sell a lot of low value junk. Think you've got to take advantage of any free listings. Unless I'm misreading it appears as though you only get 20 free listings a month. You've then got final value and PayPal fees to pay. These guys know what they're doing!

Yeah think you're right Alan. Uneventful is the way forward for now. Think I'll have to stomach the fees and just see it as a means to get rid of a load of things I don't need. Spread it over a few months.

Look at it as dead money sat there doing nothing , so if you don't need it anythings a bonus and the fees come from the profit !

I got rid of an old hoover the other week , it was just sat in the corner gathering dust ? . You new it was coming didn't you , the no dad don't joke as Odaat calls it !

Thanks for your post on my diary. Funny but if you take a step back that you are having a moan at the cost of selling oin ebay rather than shouting and screaming through gambling!! Brilliant. Onwards and upwards my man.

That wasn't a bad joke for you Alan. I actually thought you'd sold one at first!!!

Yeah that's good point Dez but it also shows I put barriers in front of everything. I just need to leap in and do it. I've tonnes of decent ties that I never wear that my mum keeps buying me. I just need to flog them and postage will be cheap. I'll start with the ties and see how that goes then move to the next wardrobe before I tackle the loft and garage! I'll procrastinate till the weekend though... or at the very least Friday night. Camera to the ready and I'll talk these ties up like no tomorrow!

Did you know that long ago , I used to have a snake !

A lovely fella , all black and yella I used to call him Jake !

He was long ! and He was thin and partial to gin , which eventually caused him to die !

Which is why to this day , to me people say " e*e that's an unusual tie ".

Sorry to soil your page again with my attempt at humour my friend but I have nothing gambling related to speak of , which I suppose is a good thing ? , I will leave you in peace now and look forward to catching up with you soon and hope you have a good evening buddy !

Heard this on radio today and made me smile. Love the video as well - all his movements and little dances really make me laugh.

Just be selective on e bay when a few things sel use some of the profits to pay the fees. And a man can never have to many ties so you might be onto a good thing there. Saying that I've only got a black one fit funerals
