Well done for getting back on here as it's the old way. Don't go back to gambling. I'm not playing around anymore. This is my life and I don't want to ruin it. I was to enjoy it to the max rather than being handcuffed by gambling which has affected too many life decisions for me. Keep the faith.

Do you know what mate , you sound so positive now in your post's and hopping around the forum is doing you the world of good , really great to see you sounding that way .

Weve all been down at times on here and thats what its about , getting back up and pushing through all the c**P and moving forward , think there was a hint of Rocky in there to be honest bud but I'll use it anyway .

Well done Change , coz your passing it forward !

Hi Scott... so we're both sports betters. What do you do to avoid the urges? Do you still watch sport or listen to sport or look at sports pages? I find that when I start doing that it's a rapid downhill spiral for me. Obviously I want to be able to enjoy sport can I just can't right now. I'm ok if it's not live. So match of the day is fine. But if I look online invariably I'm going to see sporting events taking place the next day and my mind starts thinking about who will win, what odds, etc etc. Its painful.

Day 17 now and going well. Neglecting posting a bit as been really busy with home and work so had lot of distractions from gambling anyway. Hope everyone ok.

Day 17 and it's Xmas eve eve

Positives

- content with life and happy to deal with days rather than wanting weeks to fast forward

- haven't been watching sport so no real urges to gamble (although normally I do like the darts)

- seem to be enjoying my food more? might just be because taking an interest it in rather than it being a hindrance to my gambling as I had to stop whilst I sat at the table and ate

- feeling like a kid about Xmas again

Day 30 for me. Going well and not finding as much time or need to be on here. Might try and do a larger summary each week.

Just reading through few diaries again and never ceases to amaze me how many of us are in this journey. Would be interested to know how many accounts are on the forum and also how many of those are 'live' i.e. posted in last month or so.
