Day338

Well today is 11 months gamble free-this time last year i was hurtling to rock bottom, desperate for help, desperate to talk about my addiction, desperate to try and put things right.

thankfully I've made steps along the road to recovery, a road i'll continue to walk down for many years to come.

Thanks everybody, you know who you are.

27 days until a year. here's to counting down!!!

Hi Buddy,

An absolutely monumental effort and one which continues to inspire me on my own journey. Well done for reaching 11 months and thank you for charting your progress on this site. People need to see it is possible and that not every day is a bed of roses. We can remain bet free even when things are not brilliant.

Counting down those 27 days with you!

Flagg

Day 350 (50 weeks) and 351

nice few days spent with the family-all is well.

2 weeks to go-feels weird at times as days just slip by.

I'm aware of my recovery. Many times during the day i remind myself where i am and where i've been.

1 year a go i was crashing to rock bottom.

I can never go back to that-scary to think back on what has gone before

Hi,

Great to see you are doing so well, you have achieved so much and without meaning to put a dampener on it (as I know how difficult it can be), try not to 'celebrate this period of abstination too much. Take each day as it comes, I thought I had hit my rock bottom 6 months ago, apparently I havent as recent days have shown.

Take Care and WELL DONE!

Day 352

Thanks gents for your posts.

To guard against complacency i use my good friend Dunc's advice of Time-Money -Location.

I don't carry or have access to "gambling" money. Money i do have pays for petrol, lunch etc

Also, very little spare time.

Hope everyone is well

i've come too far to chuck it all away
