Hi dessieboy , Glad to hear your well mate !, and am pleased your finding the counselling a usefull tool in recovery !. Although I've not gone down that route myself, I've done a lot of self exploring , only in my head bye the way ! [ nothing sexual ] ! Ha ! Ha! . And seem to have come up with a few ideas as to why I gamble and for me it seems to be about running away from real life ! . Glad to say I seem to be dealing with life much better nowaday's , since I got my head out of my Ar+e ! and stopped gambling . I guess were all different and I feel that whatever stops us gambling has gotta be good mate !. Thanks for your post on my diary , Its much appreciated !. I think it gives me a bit of therapy when I comment on the forums , particularly the newbies, coz I just know how I felt so sh+t 46 days ago and how different I feel today , and thats all down to someone answering my cry for help when I came on this site . I dont pretend to know all the answers , theres many people on here far more wiser than me , but if it helps just a bit , then we all pass it on . This site certainly makes recovery more manageable, when we share our stories and I for one dont know where I would of been without it ?. Glad your doing so well dessie 41 days and counting mate ! . Whatever's going on up north is working for you my friend , Keep it up Buddy ! The only bet I'll be havin today is on you and me not gambling !! Alan

Hi all,

just a quick note to say still on track. Had a bit of a wobble yesterday as it was pay day and it's the first time I've actually got some money in my account. Last month I was paying off a load of payday loans. Keeping my guard up. Now on day 69

Glad to hear it Dessie. It's still a long way off but you could hit treble figures by the years end. Keep boxing clever. Wishing you strength.
