Well, today, after 57 days, the wife let me out on my own with £350 in my pocket to go out with the only other physical person who actually really cares about my recovery, to go shopping to a famous Swedish furniture store, buy some bits & bobs, then pay for some stuff I bought online via an online auction site...I had lots of spare money after I dropped off my 'carer' and returned home with every penny intact...no driving into town to the casino, popping into any bookies, not even the lottery scratch cards or lucky dips!!! That for me is a MASSIVE step! I'm pleased, possitive, optimistic and proud and would like to thank you ALL that just read my stories or comment, because I do not want to let any of you down...or myself!!! This is the only place that has ever helped me...trust me, I had the stomach and mind going, voices in my head, but I overcame them and today, I won without spending a single penny! Share your success stories with me please and your advise! We can all beat this!!!!

Deanyboy

57 days......strong mate!!! Well done. You've come so far so keeping going forward and don't give in to temptation. To be let out with 350 quid and come home not going to the hell holes shows how far you've come. (I hope you had some Meatballs though haha)

You've passed the 50 mark set yourself a challenge now of reaching a 100!

Keep posting on here its great to see some success and an inspiration. Day 3 for me today.

Your right saying forget what you've lost in the past. I keep feeling guilt for what I could of had. But trying to put behind me and go forward.

Stay strong mate

Well done deany....just read your post, sounds like you have had a tough time mate, but you are doing great from what I have read. I think, when you have been kicked down by an addiction for so long, it's important for us to stay active in our goal to stop.

This site is great, as we can all share ideas and get advice from others in the same boat. Great to hear a positive story and keep working hard.

would no doubt have lost money and been in a bad mood

instead bought myself something nice to eat from m an a and sat down and watched breaking bad

so different from 2 months ago

let's hope we all keep this up
