Day 18

Thanks for the message Crundy. I've also got a debt to pay off with the bank (hoping to pay off completely in the next couple of months).

Almost at 3 weeks gamble free now, got a pretty busy weekend lined up again (going to 2 football games) so this should keep me preoccupied.

3 weeks to the next payday, have got some money stashed away and have enough left to tide me over until payday and have a few days out. Feeling good!

Okay, so I relapsed last week and wasted around £100 (registered an account on another site).

I have subsequently cancelled that account and have put a block in place. In fact I've not been on my laptop since, and am typing this from my work computer.

I still have some money stashed away and should be able to get through to payday without spending any of that money, which will be a big victory for me, but I just feel so rotten. Yet again I've got to around 20 days gamble free only to succumb to my urges.

I should be able to get through to payday with some savings for the first time in about 6 or 7 years, which is a massive step forward, but if I keep on gambling those doubts will continue to creep in.

I need to stay extra focused until next Friday and keep occupied with other things. I have been exercising at home and watching films while I do it, so need to continue.

I relapsed last Sunday so am currently on Day 8. I want this to be the last time I write a message like this.

Day 12

One week until payday, and I have £500 stashed away.

This time next week I will have overcome a huge obstacle, even with my relapse. For the first time in years I will have reached payday with a substantial amount of money in the bank.

Onwards and upwards...
