A short tale of mine one of many I hesitate to add.
I had a successful day walking home with a fair amount of money on my hip got a call of the them Mrs asking my to pick up some coffee and milk. My reply I have no money on me I couldn't touch my gambling money for the next day.
Just read over your post from earlier and it's crazy how much can relate to it must be a continuous cycle for all compulsive gamblers coz that is just exactly how it use to be for me, I would call the shop at 4pm not get home til midnight few £100 lighter can't imagine going back to that ever them would need to borrow left right and centre for all the things I need, when I look back now I'm lucky I still have a business to run I don't know how I did it tbh.
Anyway your smashing it Gaz keep it up don't let anyone get you down and thanks for your replies and continued support on my diary means a lot said it a million times but without this forum and the people like yourself and few others who always keep in contact don't think I would still be here today keeps us all going I think!
Rylex you are right mate! The support is amazing from people like yourselves. What I have also found helpful is I am in contact with another member of the site through e-mail you are more than welcome to join us outside and I can stick is in a group chat. Up to you mate

It's bound, to as will other (far less hurtful) posts that you read 🙁 The only tip I have here is take nothing personally! The bit I kept from that thread is to 'punish the Bookies' by not giving them any more of my hard earned, that way the staff don't suffer only the fat cats @ the top! I remember one girl having a discussion about keeping her punters happy & loading my machine with £50 one night (I'm guessing you can imagine how much I'd lost) & I could look back on that now & think "female dog, what the hell were you doing enabling me?" but I don't, I look back & think "shame on me that she felt so sorry for me she knew that would be the only thing to put a smile back on!"
There have been other people in the industry post here & I always used to wonder how that happens when 'you' guys know the house always win but I know now that this addiction is not just about money now.
It's no-one's fault that I went down that road but mine, just like it's my choice alone to stay on the recovery rollercoaster because I need recovery more than I want another bet!
Great work on 24 days...Maybe time to invest in a punchbag for your office (may save some bruises)!
