You sound like I did 2 years ago when I was your age....every event involved me checking the scores on my phone constantly desperately looking for down thing to gamble on. I never had any interest in slots etc it was all sports and the gambling was always online!
i totally agree that gambling out of debt is never a solution, us addicts cannot win and will not ever win as we wil all lose in every aspect of life eventually.
it sounds like you know what you have to do and I hope you are still going strong. Being the urge each day if better than any short term gain on a winning bet.

Had an email out of the blue this morning from a betting company who I thought I had self excluded from (turns out I couldn't have). In a roundabout way this was quite a good test as I simply logged in self excluded and then deleted the email.
I always thought that self excluding was never going to prevent me from gambling though with all the new site sprouting up seemingly weekly. It was always easy to find another company when I wanted to gamble.
i suppose to cut a long story short, test passed without even a thought and chasing down that 200 days of being gamble free!

Really pleased its worked for you, it offers me some hope. I have the same situation you had, lied about everything, didnt gamble every day I was in recovery but I have had a relapse, and thought there was no hope. I now feel positive, and hope that I havent lost whats important.

The main thing is you are back here now. I relapsed for 9 months in which time I lost a lot of money again!
For me trying to do it alone was a mistake as I had no one who was relying on me to change.

Only 11 days to go until the double century now! I actually just nearly went 2 weeks without being on here and not even realising it so been spending time reading and catching up!
