Hey guys,

just looking for some advice here, I am in recovery for drug addiction as is my partner but he is also in GA.

He has asked me to lend him money a few times as a result of gambling and my answer has always been no.

Hes asked me again today to help with bills and although I don’t believe it’s as a direct result of gambling it is a result of unmanageability around over spending on food/clothes/stuff

i feel mean saying no as I don’t want him to struggle but i also don’t want to enable him.

just looking for some advice from other gambling addicts, any help is appreciated

Don’t take the chance. Pay the bills direct or don’t lend the money. Money is the enabler. Remove that and the problem diminishes.

Awesome effort on managing both your addictions. I wish you all the success in the world

Stay strong 💪

8bc3vyuirz No.  Don't lend him money.  He has a gambling problem and it seems that he can't manage his money for essentials either.  There is a very high probability that the money will be wasted and you won't get it back.

All the best in whatever you decide 😊

If he needs it for shopping go shopping with him and make sure it’s for what he says it for an option
