You know accepting moderation is a good thing but if you have to wait 10 hours or so for your posts to appear on the forum that seems a little unfair to me. Just my view. Phil.

Hello Phil72

We're sorry we were late approving your posts. A lot of staff have been in training today and yesterday so we were short-staffed. I have approved your posts now.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Kind regards

Deirdre

I noticed something the other day. Your thread was at the top of the page and apparently you had made a change fairly recently but when I went to view the post their was nothing new. I thought maybe you changed the TItle or did something untoward to bump your Diary up to the top of the page.

I found that annoying. Gamcare should do something to stop threads from appearing at the top while the posts are being moderated.

It may have been a moderated post placed within the diary because annoyingly, they get put in @ the point that they are posted...& actually if that is what happens now, I prefer it, I think that @ least gives people a chance to know there is a new one!

Unfortunately moderated posts don't show unless you are the last one to comment, but you can as degen said bunk say the time stamp up by changing your modified post . Which admin if your reading I've never done obviously . So yes it's possible to modify a modified post in a nut shell

Just to clarify:

Gamcare doesn't spend all day checking my or other people under moderation's posts. They check and post them if considered acceptable 3 times a day I believe so I might write something at 11am but it won't get approved and posted until 2pm for example and will appear as the first post in the specific section even if was written before more recent posts by other forum users. I do not "bump" as I know it is considered bad form.

I think what I've written above explains Gamcare's policy. I'm not happy to be under moderation but I accept the decision and reflect on the reasons why I am. Best wishes, Phil @ 11.50!

Hello Phil,

We appreciate that you don't like to experience a delay in your posts appearing on the forum, but this can be one of the consequences when an account is placed on moderation. If you need more immediate emotional support you can call an adviser on our freephone 0808 8020 133.

Although this forum section is for feedback, we ordinarily use email for communication with a forum member about the moderation of their account. If you have further comments about your moderation you are welcome to email forumadmin@gamcare.org.uk

Kind regards,

Forum admin.
