Hi All,

thank you for flagging this again. We are working with our webmasters to try and rectify this ongoing problem, but it looks like there is no solution as of yet. We are trying to keep on top of this manually, but we were a bit short staffed this morning so couldn't allocate anyone to the Forum.

All recent spam is now removed.

Thank you for your understanding and for flagging the issue.

All the best,

Eva

Dear forum members

Apologies for the difficulties again with spam. It looks like we are being targeted for some reason which our developers are investigating. Unfortunately there isnt a quick fix to prevent spam containing chinese characters.

We'll keep you updated.

15 pages of it last week. Mental. Just makes you leave the site straight away, not good for people who need to use the forum.

Hello S.A,

The website engineers have been instructed to provide a technical solution which we hope will work soon to prevent the spam from appearing on the forum. In the meantime, our team is manually deleting the posts when we can. Forum users can click on the 'Flag this as abusive' button to highlight spam posts, which will generate an automatic email to the forum admin email address.

Thanks,

Forum admin.

Can you not just implement a rule where new members can't create a topic until they've made 3-5 posts elsewhere. Seems to work on other forums. I'm sure I speak for a lot here when I say the spam makes me log off straight away.

Dear Forum Members

We have now implemented the spam blocker. We will keep monitoring things to see how they are working.

Apologies for the frustration caused to everyone by this. We are looking at ways to have more hours of development time and at a faster rate.

Thanks

Rebecca
