I have been listening in on the chatroom this week. I have on the whole found it a pretty toxic, angry place to be. This didn't surprise me as it was mostly full of people very early on in their attempt to stop & I certainly remember how angry I was at that time. What did surprise though was your staff. They were on the whole excellent, especially Eva tonight who was insightful & calm in the face of some pretty hurt people lashing out

Hi day@atime,

Thank you for your comments and on behalf of Eva, for your kind feedback.

You are right, sometimes the feelings run high in a chatroom and as in every social situation (whether online or in person), the dynamics change with who is there and how they feel at this point in time. I would like to encourage you to join chatrooms again. You will find that sometimes, they are calm and supportive, other times they are funny and uplifting. And there will always be chatrooms, where members need to voice their anger and frustration, too.

By participating, you always make a difference, too.

All the very best for your recovery.

Kind wishes

Gabriele

Day@atime. It's such a shame you, as I've noticed, seem to instigate some of the heated tensions. Two nights ago 1 chatroom user wasn't pleasant and I've been told he was sorrowful last night, sorrowful due to being guilty. I never saw an apology as I used a feature the chatroom offfers and placed that person on ignore. You then decided to call me petty and childish for doing so. Please, when you have time, explain how ignoring a person rather than get dragged into mud slinging etc is either petty or childish?

You left a post on my page stating i stole from my wife again.

I have never stolen from my wife. Get your facts right before you post.

I did not appreciate the bad language and unhelpful post.

I've had good and bad experiences with the Gamcare staff but there seems to have been a much more active presence on the chat by the moderators. I agree with Dan and would open it up to other staff on Gamcare. Thanks for keeping an open mind and trying to be better. A merry christmas to one and all.

Hi all.

Thank you for the feedback about what you have been finding helpful about GamCare's services recently, and suggestions for the future.

The thread seems to also contain off topic posts directed at the original poster, about threads which took place elsewhere on the forum. For that reason I'm going to close this thread, as this section needs to remain focused on feedback for GamCare.
