Thanks

I got through the dreaded first night sleep last night, although I can't say it was enjoyable it went better than I thought knowing I had someone to talk to during my first day on here. I'm looking forward to getting back to normality, although after creating my plan it's going to take a long while 13 months. I spoke to a councillor yesterday over the phone and again today, after creating my plan and having this source to is really helping me feel better to the point I am unsure if I now need the one to one. Thanks to everyone who reads and shares there thoughts

Welcome James, and it's fantastic you're making these first steps, drawing a line in the sand.

I'm assuming the plan you've arranged is a debt-related one (apologies if I'm on the wrong track). If it is, a good move to get it cleared.

And do consider getting a regular counsellor from Gamcare if you need it - it's free; just ring 'em up. Once a week, something to help you in these early days, and you never know, you might get to grips with the underlying cause of all this gambling heartache. Because, most of the time, there's a reason.

All the best mate and keep posting; and consider the webchat on here too! We're a friendly, supportive bunch, might be worth a shot!
