It can be done but my own experience tells me that hoping it works out OK or thinking you should stop is not the answer. The problem can only be solved by taking decisions that are often painful initially but work long time.
Hi,
You know I'm from the other side of the fence and I did not appreciate being long term on the receiving end of gamblers' lies. Tell your husband the whole truth and ask for his help. If he takes over the finances then you won't be able to gamble on pay day and regret it afterwards. Ditch your phone and write to the head offices of your online websites as suggested in Post 15 of this thread.
The only way to stop is to take action and not merely pay lip service but it's up to you.
Best wishes,
CW
Hi am new how do I put post up for people to here my story and get sum feed back from you lot?
Hi Daz, choose the forum you want to post in I.E new members intro forum.
Then at the bottom of the page under the post titles you'll see new topic.
Loopy, you need to do what others have said, put up every block you need to stop you from gambling.
Even some 6 years down the line, I have blocks in place to prevent a major slip up. I know without them I could end up wasting 6 years + hard work.
Thankyou everyone. I have resisted so far today to go back on and try and chase my loses. I don't know how I am going to manage this month being £700 short, it was bill money, so goodness knows what I will do now. I will look into getting the k9. Stupid as it sounds I only ever play 1 slot, tomb raider, I am completely addicted to it and I don't know why. I think it's because I've had bigger wins on there before so I am always chasing a win. I can't put my husband through it all again, he knew I had a problem a few years ago and I managed to get myself back on track. I will use this as learning I am not recovered and I never will be.x
Hi, Loopy,
A lot of practical measures have been suggested but if you want to to quit, stop paying lip service and do what it takes. Actually put as many of them into effect as you possibly can, it's not enough to just think.
Your call.

Thanks I'm online now looking at blocking, I am self excluded from all sites as I tend to have a binge gambling, self exclude myself and then a month later find a new site and do the same again. I'm so sick of this now, need my life back.
Deal with the money part of the triangle as well, then. No good will come of you having free access to your wages or any other money or credit. Get your husband to take over and/or ditch your Visa card in favour of a basic cash card.
Hope this helps,
CW
thankyou, ive now got gamblock on the laptop and have arranged for my wages to go into a different accound and have set up direct debits etc to come out of these accounts, i will give my husband these cards so i wont have access to the money. i have a basic account for some spending money but that will only be a small amount.
