Hi

I know where you're coming from, but I also know that if you keep on gambling the only thing round the corner is more debt!

Even if you won big, you would give it all back and more.

The only way to win longterm is to stop...How?...That's the tough bit, self exclusion from bookies and online sites is a start, as is installing blocking software on your PC / Tablet / phone

At the end of the day you have to want to stop though.

I've been 'clean' for well over a month now and feel heaps better for it....I too have large debts, but every month sees them reduce in size......That's winning!

All the best to you....You can do it!!

Hi rb8216. I dont personaly think that thoughts of betting will ever completely leave me if I'm honest !. But that doesn't mean I have to bet again , just that I have to decide what means more to me , having a normal life whatever that is ? , or a completely fu+++d up one , in which I no longer care about my actions , or the result those actions have on my family. The answer is to move on buddy ! Leave all the losses and heartache firmly behind you , the moneys gone, and it ain't coming back ! if you stop chasing the loss, it will give you the freedom to begin the life you ultimately crave !!. All the best with your recovery my friend , Alan

Hi ! I understand what you are going tru , over here this sick obsession is also very present .

Got out of debt myself after years , but still obsessing none the less .. I am so afraid to relapse and get back to that ungoing hell hole that gambling addiction embodies . Give yourself time and rejoice in new activities like hanging out with friends , family , cooking , writing a dairy , reading , music , walking , being on this forum , anything BUT gambling . Stop blaming yourself and you paid your tuition fees for life ! Forget the high's of gambling , they were an illusion . Stay strong , you are worth it !
