hi all,

my name is peter quill i am now i reformed heavy gambler, im writing this post today to reach out to you all (hopefully). i am reaching out to everyone that is currently struggling through this horrible addiction. please please do not give up with your hard work to stop. i was a 18 year heavy gambler which believe you me i lost it all 2 wifes my family home, my own children resented me i dont blame them i forgot their birthdays, i was a animal a pig in all honesty a good d**n coward. that doesnt mean that it cant all be sorted i am now clean and clear headed looking at life a whole different way. My real meaning to this note is im looking for more brave people to follow me on my journey to purity, now i no you want all follow me into the light but it doesnt have to be god/jesus you find like i did, it could be anything that triggers your turn around i just want to be part of it with you. if iv learnt anything its that sharing this knowledge helping others see the light gives you such a kick. so please anyone of you are really struggling or ever feel like a chat please dm me or comment details and we can set up a skype or conferance call.

DO NOT IGNORE PLEASE START YOUR NEW LIFE TODAY

Hello. My name's Yusuf
I have been a compulsive gambler since my teens. I'm 44 now and it's become a way of life for me. I have a real problem with FOBT's and online gambling. I constantly gamble until my last pound has gone and get myself into debt. I HATE it. But the crazy thing is I can't imagine my life without gambling. I enjoy nothing better than to place a football bet on a Saturday and to watch it all unfold. I know I should stop but I never do. My relationships with family and friends are almost non existent. I'm in a vicious circle of highs and lows. Depression and debt. And I need to change before it kills me.

Hi Yusuf,

Welcome to the Forum!

You say that you struggle with gambling and that you find it very difficult to stop or to imagine your life without gambling. At the same time you recognise your problem and want to change.

There is much help and support for you, Yusuf and I would encourage you to give our Helpline a call on 0808 80 20 133 or contact the Netline http://www.gamcare.org.uk/support-and-counselling/frontline-services/netline

Both services are open from 8 am to midnight every day and you will be able to discuss your situation with a professional adviser, who will be able to listen, suggest possible strategies to you and inform you on other help and support which is available to you in your local area.

Change can be difficult, Yusuf, but it is possible.

All the very best to you

Gabriele

Hi peter

Glad to hear you’ve turned your life around how long have you been bet free?

I need to change my life so bad right now, I need to get gambling out of my life once and for all it’s killing me. Whenever I feel like I’m doing okay everything seems to fall down due to gambling. Life gets too stressful for me and I feel worthless, I keep making bad decisions especially with business at the moment C*****e and gambling have ruined my life for too long now I’ve had enough.

How do I contact you for a chat?

Thanks

Joe
