Hello,

Welcome to the forum. You haven't said too much about what your story with gambling is but its clearly a problem for you and you now see you need to stop. If you want to share your story people can advise you about each part you are struggling with. In the meantime if you just want to sit back and read the forum for a while i would strongly advise you to take a look at the post i'll link below. Its a long one but it says alot about the way most of us feel and the questions we have right at the beginning of our journeys to escape our addictions.

Keep posting and people will help you but you have to take the steps and want to help yourself. The support is out here on offer, take it and things will get better.

All the best.

Day 2 ...to me it's all about will power, do I want to stop, have I the mental fortitude to do this, am I tough enough mentally. I'd never really thought if this was a mental illness, when in fact it is. It's like I'm pushing a self destruct button every time. No more sitting like an idiot on a seat in front of a machine , that makes noises, lights...sometimes just stand back and realise where you are.
