Hi Katie uve got to the point where you are losing money u cant afford. Best thing I ever done was to block online gambling, if I try and go and sign up to online account message comes up saying gambling site not allowed, a great relief after trust me. Also since I stopped online I started in boookies and casinos so I've now excluded myself from them too. So my advice is to exclude from every avenue possible. Gamcare will let you know how to do this if u ask them. Good luck Adam x

Hi Katie I hate to see the students here. The best thing is to get the software blocks, Gamban, k9, download to gadgets, phones. The other thing is ask for help and get someone to look after your money. Get rid of credit cards and just have basic withdrawal card to stop online access. There should be a counsellor attached to your college/uni they might help. Call gamcare. There are many places to get help and support. This just gets worse, bigger debts. You have to occupy your mind with something else. You've realised your problem, now you have to act. If you're really struggling go to GA. Don't be worried everyone is there in the same boat, waiting to help you. I go to gamanon it's great support. Good luck!
Hi Katie.
Its a game designed to hook you in so you must stop now and sit down to focus on the real odds and what gambling is really all about. I hope you can talk to someone close because thay can help bring you to your senses.
There is no shame in admitting it as it got to all of us. Its not an income scheme and all that win did was reinforce that you want it to happen again.
Ive been there and I know that hundreds can be fed in and only very small amounts come out very occassionally if at all. It mainly comes out in small or "false" wins as that is not why you are playing. Indeed you may be addicted to the feeling of playing and you may well be seeking escape from stress and low feelings in what is known as escape gambling.
Its a mugs game and a tax on the poor. The bit you push aside is that they want your money and it provides them with a very nice living. This may seem an obvious statement but you need to see the light
Losing a weeks money in 30 minutes is a gambling addiction. Its the mark of an addict out of control. Gambling is no good for you and you dont need it in your life.
You must now learn how dangerous this form of mind control is. Your money has gone. At what odds is it coming back? The minimum random number generator odds on those things is about 1 in 10 on the smallest amounts.
Believe me its not a case of finding the next tenner to make it all right. it doesnt work like that. People chase into bankruptcy and an early grave so be thankful you have recognised you have a problem that needs sorting now.
It requires strict allowances and proper blocks .It is that serious so there is no room for complacency or a casual attitude
Please talk to someone close and ring gamcare. You can move on and make this history. My best advice is to tell your parents or close friends because it provides a reality check and people who can help and monitor you.
Your gadgets must be blocked so if you think about a gamble you cant do it. I hope you will join us gamble free. I win every day because I dont gamble and I have money in my pocket
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
Hi Katie.
Also a newbie here. I've done similar to you - I've lost all my money for the next month in 2 days. Really don't know what I can do...
But I do, talk and be honest. I've just spent half an hour in the chat room and it's good to know you're not alone.
The people above are correct, you need to admit to yourself first of all that you have an issue. I did that today. Then the next step is to tell someone you know and trust - the reality check is harsh. But real and 100% needed. I have told a friend of mine I have an issue, then it was followed by uncontrollable tears. But the relief you feel is better than any win....
Wish you luck on your journey
