Sorry to hear how bad things are but you are in the right place if you WANT to stop gambling ? This forum is very good also I would ring the helpline and possibly get some councilling. You say that you don't want to drag your young family down with you and I can only reiterate what you have said as I've potentially lost my wife and 2 boys due to gambling and let me tell you that there's not a more horrible feeling in the world, so if I can give you any advice it would be to kick this addiction/illness for yourself first and foremost but also your family if you don't want to lose them ! Can you not give your wife/partner your cards and let her control your finances? Also try self exclusion and put blocking software on you laptop if it's online gambling that you do most ?

You've had a lot of good advice abut blocks and strategies previously. Have you put any of it in place?

Often said here but very true - nothing changes if nothing changes.

I used to be so good with my money until I started gambling. The last time I gambled was in January and I'm still feeling the effects. Gambling is an awful thing! If you want to stop just self exclude yourself so you can't gamble anymore. Hope things work out for you and your family. Only one person knows of my situation and it does feel better telling someone but I'm too much of a coward to tell anyone else. Full of shame I suppose. Good luck!
