Hello Leeadams20,
Well done on joining the forum, and for sharing your commitment to choose recovery.
Some of our forum members post that they win every day they remain gambling-free, and refer to other forum members in a friendly way as 'Comrades' or 'Fellow soldiers', as they feel that they a fighting together for recovery. If you like, you could join one of the 'Challenge' threads in the 'Overcoming' section, for that kind of camaraderie and solidarity. You mention that you are winning the war. Over time, recovery may change from seeming like a series of battles, to something more like a thoughtful way of life that brings more sanity than addiction. You could look at our 'Recovery diaries' section to read some forum members who have found some stability in their ongoing recovery.
