Hi, I'm new to something like this so not really sure how to do this.
Basically anything that I can bet on, I will do it. I've gambled rent money, children's savings and even borrowed money for food just to gamble. This weekend I had won 900 on the roulette machines, only to put it ALL back in plus 200 more. I have 2 children to provide for and feel like I can't even do that properly because of this addiction. It's almost as if I'm not happy until I've won a large amount of money just to lose it all. This is the first time I have ever spoken about this to anyone. I'm getting scared because people are starting to work out what I'm doing, I've even considered committing suicide over this addiction. Please, I just need someone to talk to about this.
Hi Beno, sorry to hear about the mess your in, but your not alone. I too have 2 kids and they have lost out due to my addictions.
My advice would be to seek help, phone gamcare get some counselling details in your local area. They also provide online help,
Self exclude from all your gambling haunts whether it be online or in your local casino.
YOu mentioned suicide, i have felt like that myself over this disease, but it does pass and it s not the answer. If you do feel like it though please phone someone like the samaratins.
I;ve recently relasped myself, but theres thousands of people here that have stopped gambling successfully and now are living great lifes without the need to gamble. I have stopped myself for long periods and my willpower is awful , so dont give up, it can be done.
