Time to stop before I lose everything

Hi,

Sunday evening hit hard. Bank account empty, the little bets turned into big bets mainly sports with a little flutter on the casino. I stopped just before Christmas then after a few months of not gambling, I went again this time losing more than placing, then chasing the losses. Big mistake!!

on Sunday after the bank pinged the message of the empty bank account including the overdraft I knew this was it I have to stop, all betting accounts frozen, I’ve swapped my pay so it goes into a joint bank account so my partner can see what’s going in and out, there’s no hiding it now and I’ve opened up to family telling them what’s been going on. Reading all the stories on here has shown me that there is a way out if you have the mindset. I have a child on the way, a fantastic fiancé, a great family and my own home that’s not worth losing. Betting is everywhere on social media, tv adverts it’s seems there’s no getting away from it but I hope with everyone’s support I can kick this addiction and have a happy life!!

thanks

lee

Hi

The most costly bet for me to have lost was the love trust of people that loved me.

The most precious things in my life today is healthy loving relationships and time.

I could not love other people until I could love myself.

I could not respect other people until I could respect myself.

Love peace and best wishes.
