Hello All,

I am Kipchumba. I started gambling with cards over small amount of money until one day when I was introduced to online football betting. I made some wins initially followed by huge losses. I finally made the decision to quit and I eventually did.

I stayed clean of football betting for a year or two until a friend introduced me to another form of gambling. Like football betting before, I made small wins before I made a huge loss and got into debt. I sold a property, paid the loans and promised myself not to gamble again. But I went back in with the money left from property sale. I gambled it all.

After that I decided to quit. I did quit for a month or two and went right back again when I got some money. I am now in debt of app loans and friends money. I feel awful, stupid and a fool. I normally tell myself I have quit for sure but only when I am broke. Whenever I find some extra money I gamble it all. Please help me quit. Thank you

I have never been in debt but from what I read on here there are services.

Most importantly at the moment I think is giving your income to a close family member like wife, sister, parents and go through the payments that are needed to clean your debts. The money is gone and is not coming back, it can only get worse if you continue. Because obviously we have no control over gambling. I am back on the forum after 6 years free of gambling.

Take care of yourself and put that in your mind that money doesn't equalize happiness. Find your hobby, focus on tge the things that have more value than money such as taking care of yourself, family, friends.

Best of luck, hope god gives you the strength you need

Lots of good advice on here

Block yourself from everything you gamble on and everything u could gamble on gamblock etc

Then make a plan to stay focused and with the money owed payment plans, debt advice

With a gambler we have to acknowledge we can never gamble again. Even small bets lead to further damage
