So i realised i was spending way too much time on money online so i self-excluded but wait.....last night i managed to get onto an account that is supposed to be covered by my self exclusion, not only this but it allowed me to spend £130+ in less that 24 hrs... i rang the site when i realised what id done to see why they allowed me to do this they passed blame saying that its not their fault but is gamcare and gamstops fault for not flagging this up, does anyone know where i stand as getting my money back?

Dear Lalala29

Very sorry to hear you've had a lapse. We hope you manage to draw a line under it and get back on track again right away.

We can understand your frustration at what's happened. We note that you mentioned the gambling company said it was 'Gamcare and Gamstop's fault for not flagging it up'. GamCare is an independent charity offering support and treatment for problem gambling. We don't operate any of the self-exclusion schemes. The online self-exclusion scheme is managed by Gamstop. If you'd like to complain about either the gambling operator or Gamstop, there is information on how to do this at the Gambling Commission's website:

https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/for-the-public/Your-rights/Complaints.aspx

If you want to add an extra layer of protection to help prevent you gambling online, you might find it useful to consider blocking software. You can find out more information at the link below.

https://www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/blocking-software/

We can also offer you a year's free licence for Gamban blocking software, on up to 3 devices. Just call the HelpLine on 0808 8020 133 or chat to us on the NetLine and we'll send you a link.

Don't let this derail your recovery, and keep posting,

Hi lalala29. I’ve noticed from your picture your roughly the same age as me. (Maybe lol)  Most gambling addicts I see or meet are usually older. It’s reassuring to know there’s people like myself trying to battle this horrible disease.
