Best of Luck Man!
This has really helped me as I dont feel so alone in P*****g money away!
Im only 19 and if you read my post you will see that I wish i just read a book and went to bed! lost £1200 in an evening!
Thats a months wages!
Try putting any lump some of money away in an ISA or something that you cannot withdraw quite as easy.
I am not trying to patronise as your older and wiser than me but this has hopefully helped me from making the mistakes that others have made. Take peice in knowing you have helped someone out with your story.
Hi Reddy I just read your post and know exactly how you are feeling, but there is a difference between me and you. I have been in your situation many times in the past 10 years loosing all my wages wondering how to recover your finances without the embarrassment of telling loved ones, you have decided to do something about it after the first time. The only advice I can really give you which I hope you take is DONT try and win that money back when you get paid next, yes you may get lucky and get it back but from years of experience I can guarentee you will be another months wages down wishing you had just read a book again. Read that book! If you feel like gambling read my story and others and look at the misery gambling and chasing losses has caused. Stay positive.
Hi Ant,
Ended up reading your post and your words of advice again just now as feeling a little low. Thanks again mate really am trying hard at the moment to listen to what you say. Not chase and remain positive.
Hope things are still going well for you.
