Morning Mo

It'd be a pleasure to welcome another team member! The more the merrier - if it helps another person of their journey then that's great.

Good luck with day 1 today - as you know it's a bumpy road but one day at a time always looking forward and never giving in.

I'd ask that you check in again later in the week and let us know how you're doing.

Speak soon,

Mr Brightside

Nice work, Mr B!

Day 28 (that'll be 4 weeks!) for me today. A tough few days of beating myself up about the past, but onwards and upwards, as always. MASSIVE CONGRATS TO ALL OF US, KEEPING CLEAN IN 2014.

so got through my birthday without the usual gamble and even though I thought about it a lot I had no intention of doing anything. Felt great being in control and key for me is to not start in the first place as I have little or no control once the wheels are in motion. Today was by far the biggest test for me so far and I managed to get through it! well done everyone and thanks for being there x linda

congratualtions linda.

i think the key here is you know you had no intention of gambling even though you thought about it.

i wont lie, i still think about it religiously like ive always done, but i know that it has no chance of beating me and i wontr succumb to the urges.

Belated birthday greetings to you

Bit late with my update so apologies! Keeping strong and still without any gambling since 21st Nov 2013. Still feeling some strong urges to place the odd football accumulator but surprisingly nothing for the FOBT's, which have been my biggest downfall since my gambling began. Good luck everyone.

Hi All. Don't know if others heard it today but on Radio4 you and yours programme today was all about problem gambling. They ran 2 programmes last week and had such a massive response that they had another programme today. I think it has really helped my partner to begin to understand this addiction and to be slightly less angry with me...slightly...

Hi Linda, you like myself, are going for the healthy option in life now. I have just started on6/1/14, when I joined the gym and started eating healthy.

I must say, it makes me feel better and I am now not focussing on the gambling abstinence, and more, what should I eat, when will I work out etc..

Hopefully we can support each other in our quests for a clean 2014 and a healthier 2014. My target is 4 stone, so I have a long way to go 🙂

All the best Clean for 2014 team!!

Liam, being Hopeful.

45 days clean!!!
