Checking in for the week and still gf.

I will get to the first milestone of 50 days this week and finding it quite easy. Stopping is always the hardest part with any addiction. I just need to make sure I don't get complacent!

Good luck all and keep it going!

Honk

Bit late to the party but I'd like to take up the challenge for the rest of 2016! 21 days gf today.

I started gambling online 10 years ago. Started with bingo and eventually progressed onto online slots - big mistake! I'd spend whatever I could, whenever I could chasing my losses. Biggest win was £4.5k about five months ago which would have paid off my credit card and a little more but it all went again within a weekend. I'd borrow money from family, get salary advances, increased credit card limits, high interest rate loans, payday loans - you name it, I borrowed it to feed the evil monster. £40k later and here I am.

Stay strong and keep positive everyone GT x

Hi all,

Pls see below totals for the 24 checking in. I really appreciate the efforts of everyone, helps keep me my toes. There's also been 21 people who have checked in since the end of the August but haven't checked in this week. I hope they are all OK and gf. The challenge - of course- remains open to all. It really helps my recovery seeing so many people doing well (and also - seeing where and why people have slipped).

Checking in. Trying to pop on here a bit more regular usually reading and not necessarily posting but keeping me strong at a time when I sometimes get a bit weak. I find that from 6 months onwards the guard comes down and I relapse I hope this is not the case this time as I never want to go back.

Thanks again to all, this challenge really gives me a reason to be on here and to keep me focused.

Hi I am JI35. I realised tonight that I need to stop pouring money into FOBT's. I count myself an intelligent person, who knows the score. I used to look at people playing on the FOBT's with sadness in the bookies. I started in a very small way, just a quid here, when i had done my lotto numbers and it just went from there. In comparison to others here, I have not lost a lot of money, but enough to make me realise that I need to stop. Life has become un-enjoyable and I know there is so much more out there. The money I am pouring into them stupid machines, could be spent on me and the things that I work hard for my my money for. I am firmly of the belief that I can kick this. I have been reading the stories on here for ages, and really wish people well on their journey to gamble free days. Tonight I wanted to post, so I could come back everyday, and chart my journey.

Tomorrow is a new day.

I am on Day 1, and will check in on Sunday.
