Really been feeling great a lately and not really had any crazy urges at all? Is this normal? Is it because I'm excited about Christmas? Really hope not! Feel like its too good to be true?.. really hope it's because deep in my heart I really want to stop this time... xx

There's a reason why we call it a rollercoaster 😉 but as long as you stay on your guard & determined as ever, Mr Gamble will not break you!

Looks like you're gonna stick around...Why don't you have a think about a recovery diary? I dunno about the others but on my phone, I find the diaries much easier to navigate than the forums so you may get a few more posts over there!

I would say enjoy these moments but I know they can make me anxious...I can't quite believe that after so many years of trying to give up the cycle of self destruction, that I'm finding it all fairly straightforward! So much so that I popped along to one of day@atime's GA meetings the other day!

I didn't want to stop @ the start, (I had to when I discovered there was no going back to social gambling) but wanting to stop now is the most powerful tool I have so cling on to that & never let it go!

Thank you for your very kind words, I am ogre in real life 😉 so probs just as well we're only cyber buddies...Never say never though, it's not unheard of for people on here to forge strong bonds & I have already discovered a long long sister (Sandra) from another mother - actually she's also from another father & another country but what's a few another's between friends 😉 & have adopted a Pops, ALAN 135, I think he's that old :-0

Hey ODAAT wot does that stand for anyway? Lol, and trust me I'm an ogre too or a witch sometimes according to my fella lol... I have heard people say that u need to stay on your guard which I am really gonna try to do as i have a feeling it can catch u out when very least expected, make u think differently, make u believe your healed so I am gonna definitely watch out for these moments, as I can be naive at times this has wot has got me in this mess in the first place... I'm definitely thinking of starting a recovery dairy maybe after Xmas as I am so busy on the run up to Xmas and want to put my all into it and not rush it, but in the meantime I will certainly be checking in on here every single day and checking in on other people too, it keeps me going, take care and keep strong xx

ODAAT = One Day At A Time

Mr Gamble is a wily old bleep & you don't have to go far to see people who he has managed to hoodwink into thinking they can go back, so yep, keeping your guard up is a must & maybe have a little practise at some Ninja moves for any surprise attacks he may spring 😉

Diary sounds like a plan to me 🙂 I look forward to seeing you over in the covern come the New Year 🙂 There really is no pressure to do perfect posts over there, I just think if you're sticking with the site which you seem to be, it will give you a safe place to go if you have questions/need a rant etc
