Hi everyone. Just had a horrific couple of days where all my wages have gone and I’m left with nothing. I’ve been here many times before and it’s now just a pattern of behaviour. Don’t know how I’m going to get through the month and just feel like a  complete and utter idiot again.

Hi Cj1974,

Thank you for coming on the forum to share what has happened,  it is likely to resonate with others.   Relapse can be part of recovery and you can learn from it. Perhaps have a think about how you were feeling leading up to you gambling. Self monitoring e.g. checking in on your emotions and general wellbeing can be useful in recovery. Can you identify any triggers? Is there anything else you could put in place to help protect your money? It is raw at the moment and you feel crushed but you are not alone as you start to move forwards again. Chat to us one to one on our helpline/Livechat  if you feel you need anything else in place to help you, we can talk options.

Take care of yourself ,

Best Wishes,

Fiona

Great advice from Fiona and I echo everything she has said. Try to think about your triggers and what happens before you gamble x
