I haven't gambled since may this year. Overall I haven't struggled much with the temptation to gamble.

I rarely dream anymore, but last night I dreamt I was gambling, it was a completely made up game kinda bingo like game (my problem gambling was slots). I had some anxiety in the dream as I was trying to hide the gambling from my partner though that did seem to spur me on and overall the feeling was more excited anticipation than anything else.

I'm so annoyed that this dream happened the thought of gambling keeps trickling in my mind.

I told my partner I had the dream and he just was like well I'm glad it's just in your head. Which is just frustrating because I'm not! Its put a thought there that I wasnt having before. I'm anxious that the need to gamble is going to keep plaguing me now.

Anyone else struggle with dreams of gambling? Anyone feel like it sets you back or brings up the temptation? How do you deal with it?

Good Evening Souffle

Well done for remaining gamble free since May, this is fantastic and something you can be proud of.

I understand that you had a dream that brought about some difficult feelings around your gambling. Having these kinds of dreams can be unsettling but often it is best not to focus on them too much. The dream has reminded you of how you felt when you were gambling however you have made such positive strides to overcome this so that you do not have to feel like that again.

Continue to be open and talk about how you are feeling, share when you have these dreams but also look at how far you have come. Turn to the tools and resources that you have to help you to manage the urges but also continue to post on here or come in to our chatroom for some additional support if you find that you are struggling.

We are here always on both the helpline on 0808 8020 133 or chat with us on our webchat and we can go through ways to support you further.

I wish you all the best.
