Does anyone know when this will take place? I'm a bit sceptical I don't know how much it will actually save me. Will I step back and think I never get big wins so what's the point. Or will I lose as much as I did befire. Anyway I'm eager for it to happen. Does anyone know when this will occur? I can't find anything online with a date

Had it been where the bookies could increase stake from ВЈ2 to £100 I'm sure that would have been immediate

From my point of view a law that would not allow more than £2 per spin or whatever say £5 per spin would not help much. I have a lot of experience playing on multiple slot machines, and especially when i planned to play a larger sum of money.

I even played up to 10 slot machines at one time, going crazy like a mad man around the casinos, everybody looking at me I did not care at all, anyways why would I care I was there to chase my loses it was all I cared about.

Let me get to the point regarding this law. My average bet when I was gambling big was $50 a spin, when i was gambling moderate 10-15-25 ... lets do the math. Playing on 5-10 slot machines can result combined up to those 100 pounds. Where is the catch? What good can this law bring to compulsive gamblers ? If we do not stop, some of us have no limits when it comes to finding ways.

As someone mentioned above again the 2 pound spin, lets presume you are not allowed to play on more than one slot machine at one time will not result in big wins .. again this is a downside. Most of us lost big and want to get our money back.

Anyways these are my toughts , and this is me ... since 2007 i mostly played big, rarely i would have the patience to play small sums and walk out of a casino with a few extra bucks won.

Best law that can ever come up is to make gambling illegal altogether. Now this would really change the world. I say change the world and I mean it. When it comes to an individual person , it would change the person totally. Image a gamble free world ...

Thanks for reading

You can still do alot of damage with 2 pound spins. Think about it. If your average Joe working full time on minimum wage taking home say 1100 a month and you find yourself chasing the 500 jackpot, you can s***k half your salary and more in next to no time. There is no need for gambling machines to exist. They have ruined my life for many years

S.A. you are totally right - I agree with you. When it comes to minimum wages 2 pound spins can do a huge damage even if only playing on one machine. Even a salary of let's say 7k pounds can be lost in less than 4 hours, I did the math considering the machine doesn't pay at all. Best case scenario I can bet with anyone that even if the machine pays but takes back to 0 it can't take more than 2 days.

I will be 34 this thursday and I can say that i have been ruined most of my teenage and adult life because of gambling, in every way possible.

At the end of the day the stake is irrelevant. We don't win because we dont stop. If your doing small stakes it just takes a little longer thats all

.... and yet we continue to do it !!!

This addiction doesn't make any sense. Its baffling and after years of pontificating about it. I still have no answers

Its a great move, the fact its delayed shows the power of the gambling companies as they know exactly what this move means. I hear a lot of people saying that it wont help but that to me makes no sense. It does not mean compulsive gamblers will suddenly quit but its still a move in the right direction and if it stops one person from getting hooked it will be more than worth it
