Brucey-b have just seen your post. I can quite believe staff are being encouraged to get people to use other features on the machines. Hopefully they will fail miserably. I wouldn’t put it past the bookies to increase the payout % on the slots to hook people in as they know one or two decent wins and punters will want to repeat that winning feeling again. Well they won’t get me as I can’t think of anything duller than playing slots. Was only the roulette feature that did it for me and that’s now gone.
The staff know what they are doing, I have no sympathy.

went into the bookies the other day, just to make sure the £2 maximum stake is in place, if it wasnt i would have royally kicked off considering the devastation theses FOBT machines have done to mine and many other peoples lifes, thankfully they were in place. a staff member who has seen me many many times losing countless ££££ in these machines without batting a eyelid, was trying to promote horse racing to me, as if its a new thing!!, "why do i not bet on horses, you can get some good odds on most races", must be the head salesman for this paticular betting shop in he's spare time what a clown!! (ive never been a fan of horse racing considering the horse is whipped, so will not spend a penny in this pursuit). obviously with the lost income from the maximum stake being imposed,it appears he wanted me to lose all my rent and money for living on the horses too, despicable low life s**m, preying on compulsive / problem gamblers!!, needless to say i laughed at him, and with a two word answer told him to f*** o***, i think ive been banned, oh dear GOOD!! i wont be back!!, i feel i should make a complaint to there head office, but where will that get me honestly??. they probably promote this despicable behaviour too.
Hi itneverends - well done for walking away and even more well done for getting yourself banned, top work. They will indeed do anything to keep the income flowing in. They have even tried changing the FOBT to get around the new rules but not only have the chances of getting a win reduced you can lose money even quicker now. They have no shame! Let’s just keep winding them up but not going in - it’s only a matter of time before the shop start to close.
