Hey guys,

I managed four full years without gambling! d**n it was good.

2023 has hit me like a train, I am under the kosh at work and I quit smoking. I went out drinking with some friends in June, I went into the casino and blew all my money.

It felt like s**t, a feeling I know everyone on this forum has had. "d**n, this is why I stopped" I was saying to myself. I thought it was a one and one thing - but no, since June I've been buying scratch cards more, and having the urge to gamble,

I've just blown a fair wack in the bookies on my way home from work, I had no plans to visit, I had finished work, was going to pop to shops and come home, but I swung by the local bookies and played the slots for an hour.

Feeling pretty beat up with myself right now not gonna lie, I'm not looking for sympathy, just somewhere to vent. I'm hoping I can get this monkey off my back again.

Cheers,

Joe

Hi Joe

I know how you feel , don’t beat yourself up about it too much these things can happen it’s how you respond and you need to get your mindset back to how it was when you did so well for 4 years! Positive attitude and focus , we are all at risk of relapse and all need to keep our guards up , try and get your head into the not a penny more attitude and good luck on day 1 !

I echo the previous comment!!!!!

I relapsed after 3 years, I was under stress as well through a relationship breakup where a 4 year old child was involved, and quite frankly trying to co-parent the little 1 with my ex partner was a nightmare. I took accountability for my slip, installed gamban on my phone & went back to GA. Have u considered GA? Going back there has done me good because it's served as an added layer of protection.

Do what u must my friend & whats for the best.

Rob
