I am 167 days in recovery but feel I would like to attend a ga meeting, the question is do I go to a beginner meeting first?
have a look at the GA UK website (there's also a full list of meetings). A lot of the meetings are open anyway, there are very few groups solely for beginners (& even GA members established in recovery go to them); you'd be very welcome to join any meeting - steps meetings usually come later. 3-4 months can be a dangerous time in recovery as the pain of destruction from gambling can fade, so anything at all that is beneficial helps.
