Hi
I never usually go onto forums but don't know what to do.
I have had problems with gambling for a few years but this last month its really ramping up, I feel like everytime I have a drink I feel compelled to gamble, whether it be pub slot machines, then go home and play online, I've lost around 1k the last 4 weekends and have had enough.
The problem is no matter how much iam sure I won't do it again I do, I'm getting worried now as I feel it is completely out of my control.
I've binned my credit cards and cancelled one of my debit cards to stop me from doing this.
My partner doesn't know, iam already on gamstop for all the uk sites so now I end up on even more questionable ones, I feel completely trapped at the moment.... won last night and ended up spinning the lot and ended 1k down....
Will be day 1 I guess today and will have to stop drinking or going to the pub aswell forever I think as its a major trigger, it will be hard.

It’s really heartbreaking to know that you are battling gambling addiction at this moment in your life, apologies. However, I applaud the positive actions you have taken like cancelling cards or Gamstop. Know that this is a struggle that many have faced, and there are other things you can do to reclaim yourself and beat this addiction. Recovery may occur even if it appears impossible! Having an understanding of effective approaches to recovery and surrounding yourself with good people will help you overcome gambling addiction. Next, as you take steps towards healing and continue along your journey of change, feel free to seek help through counseling or a support group.
