Hi all. Posted on new intro forum couple of weeks back. Since then things have only got worse. Need to install blocking software for samsung tablet and lg phone, so can any recommend best for both as i have installed blocking software on pc and laptop in past and it messed up both a bit, not allowing other non-gambing apps, etc.
Also, has anyone had experience with a dmp whilst also being a homeowner? Need to do something about my debt, but dont want to enter into anything that might effect my house.
Thanks all. Feel at the end of my tether with everything and know from bitter experience this rubbish feeling after a big loss will soon fade and gambling to possibly win it all back will seem like a good idea again. Need to stop that happening before i lose everything.
.Hi jules
Firstly I would bump this to the recovery diary section there's more interaction that side.
A dmp is not like an iva l, an iva takes your house as collateral that meaning at the end of a iva if you haven't payed back all the debts they can ask you to remortgage if there's equity. An iva is 5 year's where as a dmp is not so intrusive and no charging orders are on your estate. Basically a dmp doesn't come with term's other than you pay back what you can afford until the debts are clear that can be one year or 20 year's as long as it's paid. In a dmp your lender's don't have to agree to anything or stop interest but mostly do. An iva once in place their not allowed to charge any more interest and not allowed to contact you at all. Always seek financial advice before entering either. As for the blocking software there are free ones but in this world you get what you pay for so look at a paid one with good technical support. Possibly bet filter being the preferred option.
You can ask your iP to block the adult content on your service. Same goes for your mobile handler. Hope that helps
Best wishes.

Hi Jules,
Your position sounds very much like mine, and I posted a similar question a few days ago. For me, I've decided that struggling through for a few years is the most sensible long term, to protect my credit rating, but obviously I don't know the details of the amount involved in your case so don't know if this is doable for you.
I've been having a read of your other thread, and your dilemma of not telling your other half is exactly the same situation I was in a few months ago. I'd told him once before & couldn't bring myself to tell him I'd started again.
Everyone on here was telling me to do it, but I wouldn't have it, and was adamant it wasn't affecting him, it was my own money etc etc, (Please feel free to read my thread!) Eventually, I did, and he's been amazing, and it felt so much better having some support.
Good luck with everything . . you're not alone! xx
Thank you all for your kind words and advice. Not in a very good place at the moment so finding it hard to write, but didnt want you to think i dont appreciate your responses.
Will be starting a diary very soon when feel up to it. Just need to sleep off this horrible feeling of regret and pain from last nights massive loss. Feel like i am living in a f****** nightmare, all of my own doing, and dont know how my life has come to this. Hoping these horrible feelings, much worse than ever before, might be signalling the end of my denial and a turning point. Maybe.
Thank you all again. As awful as it sounds, it helps to not feel so very alone.
