Every time, I say I wont, I save some money and then boom, lost by the failure to resist the temptation. whats the point? there is no point in gambling....day one starts tomorrow and get behind me!
Don't be hard on yourself. Most people trying to stop gambling relapse at some point. Learn by your mistakes. Could you put your savings beyond your reach maybe. Imagine what you will do next time you feel tempted etc.
Hi BNB,
s**t happens.
You've got to put as many obstacles in the way to prevent a relapse. Block gambling sites. Self exclude from High Street bookmakers.
Entrust your finances to a family member.
Get counselling via Gamcare.
I've had my fingers burnt so many times over the years. It's a wonder I've only got my thumbs left !
Humour borne of adversity you see.
Even if you got lucky it's never enough.
We give it back and lose more besides.
2015 Challenge on here has been good for me.
On Day 25 bet free. It feels good and what little money I have is mine and not the bookies.
Take Care
Hi, we all make mistakes sometimes and most of the people on here have relapsed. Try not to be too hard on yourself and dont stop trying to stop. Maybe try this forum next time you get the urge. Good luck
Hi I have done what you have done many times, today I have not had a bet and for many days now I've not had a bet , my point is if u narrow it down to even 1 hour not having a bet , the hours turn into days and days to weeks ect , and in between your life improves, that's the way I do it and hope it helps . All the best .sean
