Hi Everyone

Just thought I would open a new topic to let everyone know how I'm doing,

It's been 2 weeks now since I stopped cold turkey! And I am so pleased with myself, However I must admit that on Wednesday I was on the high street and wasn't doing anything so i wen't into the bookies to put a few quid on the roulette (What was I thinking!) but when it actually came to putting the money in the machine, I just coudn't do it! I just thought well whats the point! so I walked out of the bookies with that few quid stil in my hand, And do you know what it is, I felt better then actually what its like winning!

Hope this help & Bring on the comments 🙂

Gregg x

Quote from an entertainer:

"I don't gamble, you know why? Because every gambler I know is trying to get even.

Well, I'm already even."

to hear mate, really pleased, i'm 5 weeks clear of the same roulette machines. I actually stood outside *********** last night, thought to myself "i wont let you get your hands on any more of my money - i left with a smile and a morale boosting victory - Stick 2 fingers up to them and keep it up. All the best.

Hi all Just new to site and it was comforting to read all your thoughts. Two days without a gamble and closed several bingo accounts down. Decided to stick to bingo two nights a week instead of 24/7 gambling. Ive had some close shaves money wise too but determined to make a recovery. I cant do total abstinence though as id get too depressed. Also found free bingo sites where you still got the adrenalin rush and as i only play any winnings back, thought well its nearly the same rush.Idont drink or go out socially which i dont think helps my situation but work hard and earn good money which doesnt benefit me as it goes on bingo but so far ive always manged to pay the bills, food, tobacco etc. It wasnt until i downloaded a history of deposits that i realised what a waster i was. After recovering from alcohol addiction i just know i can crack this but not for someone to come along and say "you will not do this" that just brings the rebellion out in me.Be interested in your comments dear friends. Thank you JoanofArk
