I don't know what to do, just gambled my wage as I did last month after promising I never would again, I've now put my parents in a horribly unaffordable situation for them and I don't know what to do, I'm sat here, crying, I don't know where else to turn, worst bit is I had enough money to sort some bills and live good for this month and then lost it, why did I have to keep betting!? dont know what to say just needed to vent.

You are just going to have to be honest with them. You also need a strategy for next month to stop it happening again.

It is not a good situation and willpower alone is not enough (not for you or most people on here). You need to put up so many barriers that it is impossible to gamble. I would suggest you give your parents FULL control of your finances and they give you money only when you need it and only once you have guaranteed what it will be used for. Trust me, if you don't the same will happen next month and the one after and so on.

its so hard i been like that for months then get loans on my parents name to help me out and still go back to square one. im so gutless to stop... its taken something major now for me to stop now and its hard to avoid that sound of the roulette etc.... people tell me to get a hobbie and start collecting something rather then put money in that FOBT box. so many things make us do it but so hard to find a power to stop completely. your aftraid u miss out on winning if not playing. im starting to collect dvds again now on ebay . to substitute for my gamble habits
