Hi recently on my journey to knock my problem on the head I’m currently in day two I know this is just the start but I was gambling pretty much twice a day for hours on end. So far the main issue I have come up against is adverts. This has caused me to relapse in the past so I would like to know how people deal with this and or if there is anything available to stop me from receiving these adverts and suggested video content on social media.Â
As most of the adverts are related to your activity, if you clear all your history and any caches and don't go onto any gambling sites or watch anything on youtube you shouldn't get any targeted adverts. If you get them in your normal media, just click the close advert and select that you don't want any adverts on this topic.
At some point in life though you need to accept that the gambling adverts are a part of life, and you need to learn to ignore them.
As it's only been two days, what are you doing to help yourself keep away from placing a bet? Is it willpower, lack of money, or have you reached out for help?
Chris.
