Hi chaps, I've had my ups and downs with on-line slots and am not happy about it but there seems little can be done to stop the companies running these sites from operating. For instance, I thought 95% RTP (Return to Player) was a good sign but it doesn't mean if you bet £100 you will get £95 back (even over many years) because that's not the way it works. To give an example. You deposit £7,000 over several months, at the end of that time you have withdrawn £4,500 - an 'actual' loss of £2,500 however the way the casinos calculation it (well the one I use anyway) is based on the amount of "payouts won" (£24,000) over the period against the amount wagered (£24,500) for the £7,00 deposited. I probably haven't explained this very well and if anyone is interested, and doesn't understand, I'll try and explain it better. Anyway don't be taken in by the RTP figures ...

Some other thoughts, we gamblers are treated like fools, if you try and complain to anyone (and I mean anyone) you get the answer - "It's your fault, nobody makes you place a bet, you're a foolish person and should know better" etc etc etc ... but ... if you are tempted to invest in a dodgy company offering unbelievable returns (surely a form of gambling) you are treated as a bit of a clot but the perpetrators are castigated and treated as con men and sometimes, if you're very lucky, you can claim compensation from the comapny that has hoodwinked you ... but not if they are an online casino.

I'm probably talking total rubbish but needed to get it off my chest, I hope the comments don't break any rules ...
